Short Story - Rumpelstiltskin

Once upon a time, there was a king named Alexander, who was seeking for a girl to get married. He arranged a ball to find his right match. Every girl in the town was invited and they tried to impress the king. The king liked three girls and could not choose between them. While the king pondered whom to choose, one of the three girls, Edith, shouted out "I can spin straw into gold" to get the king to choose her. Because she was doltish she did not think about the consequences that would happen later. The king was amazed and by seeing his reaction the other two girls Anna and Rosaline immediately shouted out together "So can I." .
The king replied in amazement "Then I shall put you three into test and whoever spins the most straw in the castle into gold by tomorrow midnight, shall be my queen".
The girls were put into separate rooms full of straw with a spinning-wheel and a reel. Edith, Anna and Rosaline all cried in their rooms because they were hopeless and they didn't know what to do. Suddenly, a little man with a severely burned face came to Rosaline's room. His name was Rumpelstiltskin and he lost his child in a fire where he got his burned scar from. He tried to save her but it was too late so he promised himself to find another child to fill the absence of his lost daughter. Rosaline shrieked in horror "Who are you and what do you want?" .
"There's no need to be scared, I am just here to help", said Rumpelstiltskin in a grim voice. .
Rosaline was brave enough to reply back, "Unless you turn all these straw into gold, I don't need any help form a creature like you". "Very well then, I will turn all these straw into gold but in return you shall give me something valuable", responded the manikin. "Oh, I have nothing to give you; I am just a daughter of a poor woodcutter," said Rosaline. "Then you have to promise me that you will give me your first child after you become the queen," responded Rumpelstiltskin.
