" Clementine is my second best friend, my mom will always be the number one. Clementine has always been the pretty one, the popular, the girl who has a long black hair, curly long lashes, and the girl who's so perfect every guy will dump their girlfriend for her. I don't believe the rumors because I know Clementine would never do such a thing. She knows I love John, she would never do such a thing. Never. Or would she? How do I even know what's true? Rumors don't just start out of nowhere. Someone probably saw them together and just assumed something was happening, who knows? .
April 8, 2010 8:00 a.m., my mom has been reminding me all morning to be safe and call her if anything happens, you know, typical mom sayings. "Don't do anything stupid Claire. I want you to have fun with your friends but not too much fun, alright honey?" "Yes ma, John is going to be there. You know he's stricter than you are. I love you mom." I haven't had the courage to tell my parents me and John decided to go separate ways; not right now, I'm not ready yet. .
We finally made it. The feeling of the warm air breeze, wet bodies, sand sticking on me, we're away from Maryland. Divine and I started changing into our bikinis while the others are unpacking and picking their bed. "You need help Divine?" asked David, "yes, on my back please." David and Divine always had a flirting relationship but they never really see each other than friends.
It's so much different now that John and I aren't together anymore. I feel alone and lonely. I just wish the rumors weren't true. I don't know what I would do without him. I'd rather see him dead than be with someone else. .
That same night we decided to have a fire camp. John was playing his guitar and we were all just jamming. This night is so perfect, I don't want it to be over.
